The tag says it all...
Originally Used as a ship's fender. There is only one way to make it: a half-hitched core of doubled rope and a Turk's Head cover. Each Strand pulled tight with a fid. Manila rope from Chatham. A whipping of tarred marline with regular snaking completes.
Hand made in the UK.
