EXHIBITIONS / WAVE OF CHANGE

One Stormy Night

After a bright spring day all can change so soon as a storm approaches from the west, taking away the spring light and bringing with it a chill.

In Wake of the Storm

Sheltering in the dunes, watching the storm build. As the sun sinks closer to the horizon the vista soon changes as the clouds break, exposing several intense beams of light on the choppy sea.

Walk the Line

The extent of the wind blown sands is clearly present as you walk along the last visible
remnants of the fences. With the ridge constantly changing the landscape is clearly in control.

Fleet of Twenty

Late summer, the air still and the water calm, a perfect day for the fleet to take sail, a change to some of the rough days that have passed.

Heading for Midnight

Such a tranquil night, so still and calm. It’s been a good hour and half since the sun disappeared and the sky still continues to change, even this late in the night.

Sundown

After a calm day the shy sun dips in and out of view as it makes its descent towards the horizon, changing the golden hue that casts on the wash, highlighting the rolling waves.

Up close and personal with Cley mill, as the sun gets closer to the horizon, changing the intensity of the shadows on the walls, as the super charged beam of light increases the tone of the red brick.

Up Creek

As the tide sits low in the creek on this early spring afternoon you get lost in the changing reflections of the passing clouds from high above.

Still

I remember the night like yesterday, stood in the warm evening air, watching the colour in the sky change almost an hour after the sun had set. Only the sound of wetland birds could be heard as my surroundings stood motionless.

DOwn in the Marram

At six thirty in the morning the bay is exposed to the blizzard which has engulfed the coast since the early hour. The change in climate leaves everything coated in a white blanket that compacts under your feet.

Residues of the Morning Storm

It’s been a strange morning, like no other Easter Sunday. With the storm well gone but winter still in the air, the bay changes so quickly as the atmosphere warms, giving the residues of the storm only moments to last.
