These brightly coloured lobster buoys originate from the North East coast of America and Canada and are used by lobster fisherman to mark their locations of their lobster traps. Each fisherman has a different colour combination that use to easily recognise their pots. They certainly show their years of bobbing about in the sea and bashing the side of boats.
They add a great splash of colour to the home and make prefect doorstops due to their weight.
