Coffee Shop Manager – Full Time
40hrs – Salary £19,000 PA + Benefits

Do you have a flair for customer service, strong organisational skills, and a love of food?

We have a vacancy for a coffee and food loving, trustworthy individual to join our team, working from the new BTOI Coffee Shop opening late May in Wells-next-the-Sea.

Established in 2006, Bringing the outside in has forged a reputation as one of the ‘must visit’ stores along the coast, offering a collection of coastal artefacts both old and new. The new Wells-next-the-Sea store will see the launch of the BTOI coffee shop which will continue the ethos, and compliment the retail experience, offering great coffee, wholesome salads and uncommon sandwiches.

As manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day to day operation and running of the store – driving profitability, ensuring that your team are working effectively and ensuring customers are at the heart of everything you do.

Areas of responsibility

Responsible and accountable for ensuring the smooth running of all operations of the store.

Preparation of sandwiches and salads.

An understanding of operational targets including sales, COGS and waste.

Responsible for opening, closing and cashing up daily.

Managing stock, ordering and deliveries.

Inspecting and maintaining equipment and flagging any issues.

To always maintain a safe workplace and adhere to health and safety legislation.

Ideal candidate will:

Have knowledge and experience of working within the hospitality / food and beverage sector.

Be a people person with impeccable customer service skills.

Be enthusiastic and have the ability to motivate and engage your team when under pressure.

Happy and able to work solo and as part of the team.

Coffee Shop Assistant/Barista – Part Time – Summer Positions

Do you have a flair for customer service, the ability to think on your feet?

We have vacancies for coffee and food loving, trustworthy individuals to join our team for the summer season, working from the new BTOI Coffee Shop opening late May in Wells-next-the-Sea.

Established in 2006, Bringing the outside in has forged a reputation as one of the ‘must visit’ stores along the coast, offering a collection of coastal artefacts both old and new. The new Wells-next-the-Sea store will see the launch of the BTOI coffee shop which will continue the ethos, and compliment the retail experience, offering great coffee, wholesome salads and uncommon sandwiches.

Key responsibilities:

Delivering outstanding customer service at all times.

Preparation of food and beverages.

Cleaning, tiding and stock refilling.

Serving customers and handling money.

Ideal candidates will:

Have some experience working in a food or retail service environment.

Have great customer service skills.

Be able to adhere to food hygiene standards.

Be able to work in a team.

Be honest and reliable.

Be able to maintain a calm demeanour during periods of high volume and be capable of multi-tasking.

Be flexible to work weekends and Bank Holidays.

Full training will be given, however previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.
